Jaya will inaugurate Music Academy’s Margazhi season this year

Music Academy’s President N. Murali announced that the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa will inaugurate the Music Academy Festival on Dec. 15th of this year. The Tamil month of Margazhi (Dec. 15th to Jan. 15th) is a time where culture in Chennai comes to the forefront.
According to Mr. Murali, Ms. Jayalalithaa was to have inaugurated the festival in 2005 but was unable to do so due to heavy floods in Chennai which took up her attention and time. She had promised to inaugurate the festival at a future date, he said.
