The trial-run for the India`s first double-decker Bangalore-Chennai will be tested with several trials as the the train on its first trial-run had hit the ceilings of the Bangalore-cantonment station. Following the incident, on February 23, the ceiling of the station was raised so as to make the train not to contact with ceilings and side windows.

On Sunday, yesterday, the double-decker had the second trial-run, which was a successful one. However, the Railway authorities are making a thorough study that the train should not hit any walls or ceilings for its smooth ply. The railway officials are also working out on fixing the ticket fares and minimize  the running hours on the train.

When the first-trial run began, the railway officials had kept several sand bags in the compartments of the train and tested the viability of the double-decker and its worthiness of transportation. This was followed in the second trial run too, according to a Railway official.

With the mushrooming IT companies growth in Chennai, Bangalore and Mysore, there have been always demand for train tickets and most of the time the railway passengers were disappointed on experiencing the non-availability of reservation seats or felt tedious travels by standing in unreserved compartments for long hours. The passengers are also shying away from paying big sum as ticket charges for omnibuses.
