Cyclone-affected districts - time extended till 5th December to pay Electricity Bills

TANGEDCO has further extended the time given for paying the electricity bills until 5th December for the residents in the districts affected by the recent cyclone Gaja.
12 districts in Tamil Nadu, including Pudhukkottai, Thanjavur, and Thiruvarur were severely affected when the cyclone Gaja crossed the coast via Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam district on 16th November. In fact, all essential amenities like electricity and transportation were cut off and the normal day-to-day life of the residents was drastically affected.
Subsequently, TANGEDCO offered an extension of time to pay the electricity bills during the period from 15th to 25th November without any penalty.
However, since the extent of cyclone damage has been quite severe, the normalcy has not returned in the districts of Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Thiruvarur, and Pudhukkottai. So, TANGEDCO has further extended this time until 5th December to pay the electricity bill.
