Latest information provided by app from CMRL would be superb for commuters

People belonging to Chennai have been using metro trains to reach their destinations more these days. It is said that the people who travel by these metro trains sometimes have to wait in the metro stations and they feel disappointed due to lack of information about the delay in the metro train services. This would not be an issue for these commuters anymore. The news is for the benefit of many commuters CMRL or Chennai Metropolitan Transport Limited has introduced new updates to their mobile app. By these updates real time information regarding the metro train arrival in all the stations would be known to the commuters. Passengers would be able to recharge their smart cards and complaints could be sent to the concerned metro official instantly by using the app.
An official belonging to metro rail spoke about how earlier the app had only daily train time table and how now the app would be updated with the real time train timings including delays etc. This would enable the commuters to plan their travel accordingly. It is well known that the mobile app was launched in the month of May in 2017 and is updated periodically. The good news is the commuters would no longer have to stand in the long queues to get their smart cards recharged as the latest update could be used to recharge their smart cards. The commuters would be able to charge for Rs 1000 online now. To update the balance, the commuters would have to swipe their smart cards at the ticket vending machine before boarding the metro train.
One important point is the app would also have travel planner and this travel planner would guide the commuter through the station corridors to reach their destination. An official later spoke about how this app would also give information regarding the feeder services that were introduced in the metro stations. The commuters would be highly benefited by the information about the bus, cab and share auto services along with the information about the localities where these feeder services were operated. It is superb to mention that CMRL app launched in 2017 got positive response from the commuters with over 50000 downloads.
