New names for Chennai metro stations

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) announced the latest update of providing semi-naming rights for companies. With this new revenue raising plan CMRL will change the metro station names by prefixing the company’s name for branding.
Company’s name will appear before the original specified location. CMRL floated tenders for the process of branding provision with the station names. The process of renaming is expected to finalize within two months said the officials of Chennai Metro.
Similar methods have been adopted in places like Delhi for increasing the revenue of the metro department. The passenger rate is far less than what expected in the initial construction of the metro lines. This paved way for using marketing strategies to increase more income for CMRL to run the full operations of the travel servicing.
