Aadhaar verified passengers can now book 12 tickets on IRCTC

IRCTC (Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation) has introduced a new facility. With this, a prospective traveler can book up to 12 train tickets per month with the Aadhar card details furnished.
Lakhs of passengers are utilizing the website of IRCTC and book their tickets online on the website – www.irctc.co.in.
In this procedure, a lot of initiatives has been taken to encourage cashless transactions with a variety of concessions and facilities.
In order to curtail and prevent impersonation, and other malpractices in procuring reservation/ticket, a series of rules and regulations have been implemented. As per this, a passenger cannot book/get more tickets.
An IRCTC official explained that the system of making Aadhar cards mandatory is being insisted and implemented. By linking the Aadhar card on the internet, a passenger can book up to 12 tickets per month on the IRCTC website.
