Deadline extended for applying to Amma 2-wheeler scheme till 10th February

The deadline for applying to the Amma 2-wheeler scheme for employed women has been extended until 10th February. It is expected that the government of Tamil Nadu will release the official announcement regarding this.
The late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had announced the subsidy of 50% for buying 2-wheelers to the employed women in the state as one of the election promises. This scheme is set to be implemented on the occasion of the late CM’s birthday on 24th February,
As per the earlier announcement regarding the application for the ‘Amma 2-wheeler scheme’ for working women, yesterday (Monday, 5th February) was the last day – hence, large crowds were seen in the places where the applications were to be submitted.
In this situation, the deadline for applying for this scheme has been extended until 10th February. The extension has been made with a view that most women employees should avail this scheme. It is expected an official announcement regarding this extension will be released shortly.
