Real cure for baldness, study

For the very first time, researchers have developed hairy skin which is a closer and real cure for baldness. For this, researchers have used stem cells obtained out of mice, and the upper and lower layers of skin were developed with the hair follicles just the way in mouse’s body.
This skin tissue grown in lab will resemble that of natural hair as compared to the other hair models. This can be used in trials for treating baldness.
The Indiana University School of Medicine conducted a study which is a breakthrough that sheds first light on hair growth. It is said that the possible stem cell therapy is the possible treatment for hair loss for years. While there are a number of methods to produce skin tissues already, there is not much similarity to imitate the real thing.
There are over 20 or more cell types in the skin, but the present model now has just 5 to 6 of which none of them are capable of hair growth.
Professor Karl Koehler the lead author of the study started making use of stem cells for creating tiny real organs like organoids.
The stem cells can be developed into any kind of organ, but the researcher has targeted creating tiny versions of the inner ear which can be of help in treating deafness.
