New Year celebration - entertainment restrictions in star hotels

The Chennai police has imposed certain restrictions on the extent of entertainment for New Year celebrations in star hotels.
For any celebrations in the open spaces, applications have to be submitted regarding the celebration of New Year and a licence must be obtained.
- Taking alcoholic drinks must be stopped at 1.00AM past midnight and all entertainment activities must stop.
- Any persons with drunken misbehaviour must be removed from the spot and police should be informed about them.
- A CCTV camera must record the entry of vehicles to the hotel and also the entertainment events.
- The hotel swimming pools must remain closed from 6.00 PM on 31st December till 6.00 AM on 1st January.
- There is a ban on setting up stage platforms over the swimming pool or places which are unlicensed.
- The drunken lot of people must be dropped in their residences as arranged by the hotels themselves.
- Safety must be ensured for the ladies participating in the celebrations.
