CMRL services extended till 11pm for Christmas festive season

As there are more passengers travelling the Chennai Metro during the current Christmas festive season, the daily train service is extended till 11.00 PM.
Chennai Metro Rail has 2 daily services in the 2 sections, Airport-Nehru Park and Little Mount-Alandur-Airport.
The Metro rail services start at 6.00 AM on weekdays (working days) and at 8.00 AM on Sundays and continue till 10.00 PM.
There is a substantial increase in the number of passengers in the present Christmas festive season in the Metro rail.
As it is observed that there are large crowds of passengers in the Anna Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Vadapalani, and Kilpauk Metro Stations, keeping the public convenience in mind, the Metro services are extended till 11.00 PM.
As this extended service is hugely appreciated and availed by the public, the Metro Rail authorities informed that there is an increase of 10% in the number of passengers.
