CMRL completes tunnelling between May Day Park - Teynampet

The underground tunneling work for the Metro Rail section between Teynampet and May Day Park is now complete.
As per the Metro rail project, in the section from Chennai Airport to Washermanpet, from Airport to Saidapet will be on an elevated track. And from Saidapet to Washermanpet, it will be underground.
Out of this, the tunneling work between Chennai Central Railway Station and Saidapet has already been completed and ready for service. In this situation, the tunneling work in the section. Teynampet to the May Day Park has also been completed now.
It may be noted that the tunneling work commenced during May 2015 and concluded on Monday, 11th December.
