Soon common ticket for metro trains, buses

A seminar was conducted regarding the further improvement and development of the city traffic system through service of the Chennai Metro Rail system.
The Managing Director of Metro Rail, Pankaj Kumar participated in the seminar and addressed the gathering. He observed that the same fare is being spent in the Chennai Metro city either for travelling in shared auto or by metro rail. However, Metro has A/C facility. It also ensures a safe and pleasant travel.
The tunneling work from Saidapet to DMS will get completed by next March. The other Phase of the Metro Rail Project in North Chennai will get completed in the next 2 years.
A huge underground Metro station with a huge commercial complex and a vehicle parking space has been constructed at the Chennai Central Station.
A project to facilitate the passengers to travel in metro, city buses, or electric train using a single valid ticket has been undertaken and the related technical activities are progressing rapidly. This facility may become available very shortly.
