However, parents and school management ought to be extra vigilant and take precautionary measures during this season so as to ensure safety and hygiene of their children. So, here we have some quick tips to help you out with the same

Teach them monsoon safety
Educate the children about the do’s and don’ts during monsoon. The teachers should educate good habits like getting their hands washed before eating meals or wash immediately after touching dirty objects. You should not eat raw foods that are kept open for long. Never walk in clogged areas and do not touch any electronic item or switches when your hand is wet. Preschoolers should be taught the right method to wear raincoats.

Only purified water
During monsoon, water tends to contain a lot of bacteria and give rise to water-borne diseases. So, it is best to drink purified water.

Seclude wet items
There are hundreds of students studying in each and every school. So, the schools will probably have a lot of umbrellas and wet shoes during monsoon. Set specified areas to keep these items safe so that the dry areas remain dry without affecting the overall neatness and hygiene of room.

Good drainage system
There should be proper drainage system in schools so that there is no dirty water clogging. Ahead of monsoon, the necessary plumbing works equipment fitting needs to be done. If undone, it may lead to slippery floors and dirt that may prove risky to kids.

Hygienic canteen
During monsoon, parents will be very strict about giving only freshly prepared meals without much oil. They prepare homemade foods and snacks at home instead of buying from outside.

Similarly, the school canteens should also stick on to safety standards of food items they sell. The seller should wear gloves and the canteen should be cleaned frequently.

Scheduled outdoor activities
When it is too rainy outside, the kids should be engaged within classroom even during games period. There should be interesting indoor games available in the school such as chess, carom, etc.
