WhatsApp goes offline in India

The popular communication and social networking medium, WhatsApp went off from the working line for a few hours in major part of the world, including Malaysia, Spain, and Germany.
In India, WhatsApp was down for a short while. The users suffered for a while as they could not receive/send-exchange info. It is not ascertained whether and to what extent this outage affected the other countries.
With the prevalent number of options available today in the social networking media, most users switched over to Twitter to confirm about the outage of WhatsApp.
It is worth recalling that there was a failure or outage in last September as well. WhatsApp was down in May also for a worldwide outage.
