Respite during day and heavy showers at night in Chennai

Chennai to experience break in rain showers during day and continuous down pour at night, says DGP office sources. In the past 24 hours, about 300 mm rainfall is recorded.
During the break in rain showers, Chennai will have a respite out of stagnant water and have time to drain the water. Amidst these, due to low pressure in SW Bay of Bengal, there will be rain showers in Delta to Chennai coast.
Later at night, in the Chennai coast, wind coverage will be likely again. Hence, Chennai – gear up for one more rainy night. Though it is not sure of how heavy the rain showers are going to be, rainfall is for sure! One such days with heavy showers was yesterday.
