Movie theatres strike ends (temporarily)

The movie theatres were closed in Tamil Nadu as a protest against GST imposition. There was a prolonged discussion on this issue between the government and the Film Industry representatives today on this issue.
After the discussions, a decision has been taken to reopen the theatres from tomorrow (Friday. 7th July).
So, the theatres would function from tomorrow. The ticket fares would be decided by a joint committee of the state government and the theatre owners.
The strike was withdrawn after a special committee was formed comprising of 6 government representatives and 6 representatives from the theatre owners.
It is gathered that the online facility to book movie tickets may function from today (Thursday, 6th July) evening.
The important point to note that the ticket rates have not yet been decided. As such, the problem remains unsolved.
