Chennai to experience heavy downpour in the next 5 days

For almost 6 months, the weathermen has been waiting for such an announcement. And here it comes. The action packed days are all set to begin in northern Tamil Nadu right from today. This includes Chennai as well.
The conditions are fruitful for Chennai to receive rain showers today. For at least 2 to 3 days, there is going to be severe rainfall in the following 5 days. Its not going to be a mere shower, but a tremendous downpour.
After the rainfall during Vardah cyclone, this is going to be the prominent rain shower in Chennai city. The city will not just receive rain showers today, but in the following days as well. There will be showers in Karnataka, at the Cauvery catchment areas in Kodagu.
There is whopping 140 mm shower at Papanasam in Thanjavur.
