Distribution of school textbooks on 7th June

The Tamil Nadu Text Book Corporation has informed that a center is being set up at the Anna Centenary Library for textbook sales. The textbooks for the various classes will definitely be available when the schools reopen.
A brief on the press release by the Tamil Nadu Textbook Corporation:
Arrangements have been for the availability of all textbooks for classes from 1st standard to +2 are printed to be easily available without any difficulties in procuring them either free (through the schools) or on payment.
1.22 Crores free textbooks have been printed for the first term for classes 1 to 9. 79.77 Lakhs textbooks have been printed for sales. 1.35 Lakhs textbooks in other languages have been printed.
For the 10th Standard, 39.48 Lakhs free textbooks and 15.51 Lakhs textbooks for sales (to be used throughout the year) have been printed.
For the +1 classes, 59.12 Lakhs free textbooks and 20.50 Lakhs textbooks for sales have been printed.
For the +2 classes, 59.45 Lakhs free textbooks have been printed. 23.59 Lakhs textbooks for sales have been printed.
The free textbooks printed will be dispatched to the respective 67 district educational offices. From there, the books will be distributed to all the government and government-aided schools through the respective Primary Education Officers and District Education Officers.
It is certain that the textbooks will be ready and available for distribution on 7th June when the schools are set to reopen.
From the last year, the facility to buy the textbooks for sales online for the self-financed and private schools by registering online.
12240 schools have already registered online for the textbooks. Accordingly, sales have been arranged. The website: www.textbookcorp.in
So far, textbooks worth Rs. 39.13 Crores have been sold as on 27th May to the self-financed and private schools.
A facility is provided for the students/parents/private candidates to procure the required textbooks online and delivery to the postal addresses given. The textbooks may also be procured from the public service centres.
The registered books will be sold only once. So, it is not possible for any individual to procure more than 1 textbook and sell the same in the open market.
In the headquarters of the Tamil Nadu Textbook Corporation, the textbooks are sold through special centres. The textbooks, for the classes from 6th Standard to 12th Standard, both in English and Tamil, intended for preparation for the competitive public examination, have been distributed to the Anna Centenary Library in Kotturpuram, Chennai, and all other District Main libraries.
Arrangements are being made to set up a sales centre for the class textbooks.
