Tamil Nadu state Budget Presentation (2017-18) in the Legislative Assembly tomorrow (16th March)

The Tamil Nadu State Minister for Finance D. Jayakumar, will present the budget for the financial year 2017-18 in the State Legislative Assembly tomorrow (Thursday, 16th March).
The Budget session of the Legislative Assembly is set to start tomorrow.
The Finance Minister D. Jayakumar will present the budget for the financial year 2017-18 at 10.30 AM.
This will be the 1st budget presented under the new Chief Minister E. Palaniswami. Further, the minister D. Jayakumar, who has taken the finance portfolio, will be presenting the budget for the first time.
It is expected that most of the promises announced during the election campaign by the former Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa including free cell phones will be included in the budget presentation.
After the budget presentation is completed, the Action Review Council will meet under the speaker P. Dhanapal and decided the number of days for the current assembly session.
The demand for the advance subsides for 2017-18 and the final budget status report for the year 2016-17 will also be submitted on 23rd March.
It is gathered that the discussion on the budget session would be for a week.
