The Election Commission has announced the mid-term election for the RK Nagar Constituency in Chennai Metro City (due to the death of the former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa) will be conducted on 12th April.
The filing for contesting starts on 23rd March. The review of the contestants` files to contest the assembly elections will be completed on 24th March.
The last date for withdrawing from the contest is 27th March.
The counting of votes will be on 15th April.
The R. K. Nagar Legislative Assembly Constituency has been left vacant due to the death of the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalithaa.
