What are the reasons for increasing number of kidney failures?

During the earlier periods, the food being taken was organic and naturally grown. However, in today’s hectic lifestyle, the various undesirable items which are not good for physical health such as – variety of cool drinks, Pizzas, Mary Brown, other foreign fast food items, food prepared from plants grown with synthetic fertilizers, and impure drinking water.

All these combine to deposit more dirt and unwanted stuff (chemicals) in the blood. The kidneys find it rather difficult to cleanse the polluted blood.

With the increasing difficulty in its function of cleansing the blood, the kidneys will start getting affected in a slow and gradual process.

The main function of the kidney is cleansing the blood, Though the muck accumulated in the blood due to the food that was taken is the reason for kidney failure, there are other reasons as well – such as uncontrolled high blood pressure and diabetes – which may lead to kidney failure.

Is the excess quantity of salt in the food items taken one of the reasons for kidney failure?

Generally, there are 4 types of salt. They are Sodium, Potassium, Magnesium, and Calcium. Sodium (chloride) is the normal salt we use in our cooking. The human body requires only 1.5 grams (sodium) per day. However, since the common salt (sodium chloride) is available at a far cheaper price as compared to Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, we tend to use more quantity of sodium chloride.

The fact is that we tend to take far more than the 1.5 grams of salt as required by the body per day. This additional gets accumulated in the body. In earlier periods, this will normally get released through the urine and sweating. However, in today`s lifestyle, there is no avenue for sweating. Thus, an unbelievably high quantity of sale gets accumulated in our body every day. Thus, taking excess salt is also one of the reasons for kidney failure.

Can the affected kidneys be cured through tablets/medicine?

If diagnosed at a very early stage, it is easily possible to cure the affected kidney through medicines/tablets. However, there are no symptoms for the patient to trace/identify the non-functioning of the kidneys, it is not possible to note the onset of kidney failure at an early stage. When we the doctor for complaints such as high blood pressure or diabetes, the doctors do not insist on urine tests.

Thus, the patients tend to consult the nephrologists (doctor who is a specialist in treating kidney complaints) only after very advanced stage of kidney failure.
