Nokia and Airtel collaboration to create roadmap for 5G tech

Bharti Airtel and Nokia will continue their collaboration as a technology partnership. The duo will be creating strategic roadmap for evolution of network to 5G technology and effective management of connected devices.
Nokia and Airtel have got into a new agreement for developing the new service, eyeing on laying path for 5G network connectivity. This will be a build on to the 4G in terms of power, functioning and cost-effectiveness and there will be improved quality and reliability.
There will be dramatic improvement in peak data speeds, network latency and agility. Enabling new capabilities like network slicing are included too. The operators can support the surging customer count and over billions of them will be connected to IoT devices, providing good service quality, thus forming foundation to smarter cities and rural communities, industrial automation, connected vehicles, etc.
The end to end 5G solution by Nokia called the Nokia 5G FIRST will get leveraged by the Nokia-Airtel duo. This will include AirScale radio access portfolio and also the AirFrame data centre platform where the capabilities of 5G will be demonstrated.
