Post-Varda, repair of signal system starts in Chennai

Several automatic traffic signal control systems were affected during the cyclone Varda. Now, the repair works of restoring the signal systems have been taken up in full swing. Until now, in the absence of the automatic traffic regulations, a number of traffic congestions were encountered in several junctions.
In the absence of automatic traffic system regulation, additional traffic police had to be deployed in major junctions.
Especially during the peak hours, Law & Order Police also join in regulating the traffic.
The traffic and police department have made a count of the automatic traffic regulation systems to be repaired and have commenced the repair works.
