Jio: New Year Concessional Offers wont be cancelled

Reliance Jio has informed that it is not cancelling the New Year Concessional Offers. Jio entered the mobile phone services field last September. It attracted a large number of customers with offers such as 90 days unlimited free calls and 4G internet facility.
As per the introductory offer, these concessions were valid only up to 3rd December. However, Jio entered again with a changed name of Happy New Year Offer and extended the validity of the offer till end March.
Following this, one of the competitors in this field, Airtel, made complaints to TRAI. TRAI sent a notice to Jio asking for explanations.
However, Jio explained that these are New Year special concessional offers. This cannot be construed as an extension of the old offer and it will not cancel the same.
