Rains may occur over Tamil Nadu south coastal areas on account of the trough persisting over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Sri Lanka. Rest parts of South India will remain mainly dry. Since the trough is remaining in the same place, there will be rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next 12 hours. As far as Tamil Nadu is concerned there will be lighter rains in southern coastal districts.
As far as Chennai is concerned the sky will be murky. The maximum and minimum temperature of the city will be 33 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius respectively. Since there Is northerly winds the weather will be cold and fogy.
