WhatsApp Service: Some phones to be cut off from this facility

The services of WhatsApp may not be available after 31st December in mobile phones functioning on the Symbian Operating System.This has been confirmed by the company WhatsApp.
WhatsApp services may be cut off in some other brands of smartphones as well.The brands of smartphones to be cut off from WhatsApp services:
- Mobile phones using Symbian
- Blackberry OS and Blackberry 10
- Nokia S40
- Nokia S60
- Phones functioning on Android Version 2.1 and 2.2
- Windows Phone 7.1
- Apple iPhone 3 GS and IOS 6 based iPhones will be cut off from WhatsApp services
Nokia has already stopped production of Symbian-based mobile phones. However, Nokia E6, Nokia 5233, Nokia c5 03, Nokia AGA 306, and Nokia E52 are still in use.
In its web page, WhatsApp has informed that these phones indicated above are also important. However, considering the future services, these phones do not have the required technology. Though this is a rather harsh decision, it is the right direction, enabling users to gert in contact with their family member and friends through WhatsApp. So, the users with the above-mentioned phones have to change their phones if they wish to avail the WhatsApp Services or they have to raise their quality.
