Increasing internet users on mobile as compared to desktop

Smartphones have got large impact in technology and it is in fact ever increasing. As more people are switching to mobile usage, the internet business are turning more mobile exclusive. This being the scenario, a new study has affirmed this swift by stating that the total mobile and tablet internet usage are higher than that of desktop usage, considering data sourced across the world.
StatCounter, a web analytics firm has stated that the internet usage on mobile and tablet account for 51.3 percent while that of computers is 48.7 percent. StatCounter has also illustrated this with a graph where the continuous decline of internet usage on desktop is clearly seen while the usage of internet on mobile and other handheld devices keep increasing. The condition has been observed ever since 2009.
In spite of mobile internet being widely in use, in countries like UK and US, desktop usage is still ruling. The desktop usage accounts to 58 percent in the US while that of mobile and tablets is 42 percent. Similarly, in the UK, the desktop usage is 56 percent and that of tablets and mobile is 44.5 percent. On the other and, in countries like India, a large swathe of population have switched over to mobile internet usage.
