Chinese Coolpad handsets are Made in India

Coolpad has said that 95 per cent of its smartphones that are sold in India are made locally.
A senior executive of the Chinese handset maker said, We started manufacturing in India in partnership with Videocon and now 95 percent of the devices are now Made in India. Only the first batch when we launch a device, say 10,000-15,000 units only come from China. After that the devices are made here itself. The company`s manufacturing capacity, through Videocon, is about 250,000-300,000 units a month.
Coolpad’s new Note 5 smartphone will be available on Amazon.in for Rs. 10,999 from mid October. The Note 5 features a 5.5-inch display, 4GB RAM, 32 GB internal storage, expandable to 64GB, 13MP rear and 8 MP front camera and with LED Flash and 4010 mAh battery.
