In over 100 cities in India, Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will set up 1Gbps broadband. On achieving success in this attempt, this move will be the most widespread broadband network in the country and will be the fastest too, in fact in the world as well.

Only limited number of operators in India is at present offering 1Gbps or plans faster than this. Most of these are provided mainly in Mumbai. Hayai and Reliance Ultraband are the two telecom providers offering this 1Gbps plus plans.

Only a few pin codes in Mumbai are currently enjoying these telecom services in Hayai. They have offers starting from Rs 7,349 per month for 1Gbps. This ranges up to Rs 12,499 in a month for 1Gbps unlimited plan. The plan for 10Gbps is Rs 19,999.

Services by Reliance Ultraband are present only in two areas of Mumbai. There is no public availability of details of this plan. Likewise, it is the same case with MTNL that also extends a number of 100 Mbps data. They have also not made any public announcement or disclosure of their plans. The only challenge to RIL’s plans is BSNL as it is offering 100 Mbps plans across 97 cities.
