Here comes Google Duo

Here is Duo by Google, a video chatting app. This is Google’s move against FaceTime by Apple, Skype by Microsoft and Messenger by Facebook.
This new video calling service is quite similar to the others except the fact that the receiver can be known before picking the call. One can decide whether or not to pick a call by knowing who is calling. This feature is given the name Knock Knock.
Announcements about this app was made then in May. It is released for free for phones running on Android operating system and Apple iPhones. The calls get encrypted and depending on your internet connection, resolution of video gets changed.
Similar to FaceTime on iOS, this video calling app Duo needs the contact number to get connected, whereas there are other services that need both the people to stay logged in for the video calling option.
Chat app by Google
Video calling on Google is served through Hangouts since the year 2013. Here, with Duo, users can enjoy watching their friends and family in way more reliable and better. In another few days from now, the mobile app will be made available around the world.
This is one of the two mobile apps Google has in plans to release in the next few months. There will also be the launch of Allo, a messaging mobile app by the US Company. This will feature a robotic assistant which will give suggestions on automatic responses to texts. When a friend sends a picture, the user can give comments to it using such suggestions. This is made possible with image recognition system. Google can give you suggestions on what to reply when say, your friend shares images of their pet animal. Google also hinted about a tool based on conversation. This is Google Assistant. It will be of help in controlling smartphones, smartwatches, and other devices during early days this year.
Users can get information, play media and also perform tasks while chatting. Google also has Google Home which will be a device activated by voice. This will come with built in speakers.
