Google working on high end headset that will have augmented and virtual reality

Reports have claimed that Google is working on a high end stand alone headset. The handset may feature both augmented reality and virtual reality simultaneously.
Earlier reports had said that Google’s VR project was abandoned. This was a competitor to Oculus Rift. But recent reports have said that the company is still working on a dedicated headset that blurs the line between virtual reality and augmented reality.
Sources also revealed that the headset will not require the use of mobile or computer to function. While it will sport a screen, its features will be more inclined towards augmented reality than virtual reality. The release date for the headset has not been revelaed. More information will be disclosed after an official announcement from Google.
