Aadhar Card number required for Rs. 300/- Darshan ticket at Tirupathi temple

Generally, the local public is permitted to have free Darshan of Lord Venkateswara at the famous Tirupathi temple on the 1st Tuesday of every month.5000 tickets are reserved for them.
To prevent them from coming often on the 1st Tuesday for free Darshan for every month, this ticket is now being linked to Aadhar card number.
TTD (Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam) Board has now decided to adopt this procedure for the other Darshan tickets.
As per this procedure, devotees who had Darshan in a given month will be permitted to have the next Darshan only in the next month.
In the first phase, the procedure to link Aadhar Card is introduced for Rs. 300/- special Darshan tickets.
Special new software has been ordered for this purpose. Once this is ready, the procedure will come into effect.
This information was given by the Chief Executive Officer Mr. Sambasiva Rao.
He informed that the number of devotees will be increasing manifold in future. In order to check this, the scheme of link with Aadhar Card number is being implemented.
