Mobile e-service centre to issue plastic Aadhar Cards

Tamilnadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited (TACTV) Managing Director J Kumaragurubaran mentioned that at a time when it is considered that every Indian citizen should have Aadhar card,  it has been decided to issue plastic cards at the doorstep through mobile e-service centre.
 
On behalf of Tamilnadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Limited E-service centres are already working in 264 Taluk Offices all through Tamil Nadu. Apart from this the e-service centre is also function at Chennai Corporation zonal offices. Now plastic Aadhar cards are being issued in these centres on payment. On  a trial basis. one mobile e-service has been launched. 

TACTV  Managing Director J Kumaragurubaran while speaking to the media said, The mobile service was launched on a trial basis in colleges in city. 3,331 plastic Aadhaar cards have been issued to students. Now, it is being extended to residents in their respective places. Residents can make use of it, instead of visiting Taluk offices.
 
Procedure to get the plastic card
 
·         A resident has to bring his Aadhaar card. After taking finger print out, he/she would be issued a smart card. They have to pay Rs 30 per card. 
 
·         For seniors or anyone who is unable to come in person, they can send their card through their family member. The mobile number should have been printed in the card and member has to bring the phone of the card holder. A call will be made to the phone and a one time password will be sent. This will be used  as an identity (instead of fingerprint),
