Healthy Food Recipes - Peanut & Curry Leaf Idli Podi

Ingredients

1. Peanut (Groundnut / Nilakadalai) – ½ cup
2. Curry Leaf – 1 cup
3. Urad Dal – 3 tbsp.
4. Chana dal – 3 tbsp.
5. Toor dal – 3 tbsp.
6. Black Pepper Corns – ½ tbsp.
7. Coriander seeds – 2 tbsp.
8. Red Chilli – 5 nos.
9. Asafoetida – 2 pinch
10. Salt – as required
11. Oil – 1 tsp

Method to Prepare

1. Heat the pan and dry roast a cup of Peanuts. Allow it to cool for some time and then remove its skin and keep the peanuts aside.


2. Similarly heat the pan and dry roast Urad dal, Chana dal and Toor dal separately and collect aside.


3. In the same way, heat the pan and dry roast curry leaves in low flame and keep ready.


4. Now heat the pan with a spoon of oil and then add black pepper corns, coriander seeds and red chilli. Once the pepper corns gets splinted out, add the roasted curry leaves and switch off the flame.

5. First add roasted dal in a mixer and grind, Then add the rest of the roasted items and grind all.


6. Keep it in an air tight container and use when ever needed.

7. Serve Peanut & Curryleaf Podi either for idli or rice along with a spoon of ghee or Sesame oil.
