Premam is a superhit Malayalam film which had Nivin Pauly in the lead role. This film enthralled the Malayalam audience as well as Tamil audience. Alphonse Puthiran who directed the Tamil film Neram has directed the film. Neram crew has worked for the film Premam. Anupama has donned the female lead role.Telugu actor Ram who saw the film was interested in remaking this film in Telugu.
Actor Venkatesh remade the superhit Malayalam film Drishyam. Meena who donned the female lead role in Malayalam also donned the female lead role in the Telugu version. Now the Malayalam film Bangalore Days is also being remade in Telugu.
