Meena appreciates Kamal Haasan and Gouthami

Drishyam is a film which had Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles. This film was remade in Tamil with the title Papanasam. Kamal Haasan donned the lead role while Gouthami donned the role which Meena donned in the original version.
This film was also remade in Telugu. Meena donned the female lead role in this version also but she was not approached for the Tamil film. Gouthami was casted in the female lead role. The film Papanasam was exclusively screened for Meena. She has mentioned that she is fully satisfied with the film and also has appreciated Kamal and Gouthami for their acting.
Meena while speaking said, “I have donned the female lead roles in the Malayalam and Telugu films. Kamal has acted very well in the Tamil remake. He has given a new colour to the film. Especially he has given Nellai Tamil. Papanasam dialect was a plus to the film. Gouthami had also acted very well in the film. I have donned her role in the original version. Lots of changes have been made for her role. She has acted to suit the Tamil audience. She has acted very beautifully.”
