Ingredients:
- Wheat flour – 2 cups
- Ragi – ½ cup
- Salt – as required
- Cooking oil – as needed
Method of Preparation:
- Soak Ragi in water for about 4 to 5 hours.
- Then drain it completely and grind it well in a mixer without adding water.
- In half a way through, add required quantity of water and grind it to a smooth paste.
- Then collect the ragi milk (Ragi extract) from the grinded paste using a filter.
- You can use the Strainer or flour sieve, to collect the ragi milk extract. (It will be easy too)
- Take a mixing bowl, add wheat flour and required salt. Add Ragi milk little by little and blend well. If at all needed, you can add small quantity of water.
- Finally add a spoon of oil on top of the flour and keep it aside for about an hour.
- Then you can prepare chapatti in the usual method.
- Heat the tawa and roast the chapatti on both sides by sprinkling oil or a little quantity of ghee.
- Now the Ragi Milk – Wheat Chapatti is ready to serve hot!
Tips:
- As we are only using the Ragi milk extract and leaving the ragi residue, you can serve kids highly nutritious diet without their knowledge.
- This dish will be as tastier as wheat chapatti.
