Exclusive hostel for women, an appreciable move by the civic body

A new move by the civic body will soon be of great help for single mothers and their children in the city. The civic body is all set to make arrangements for accommodations for single moms and their kids. Two locations are so far been identified which are Avadhana Paapaiah road in Choolai and Kannappar Thidal, Periamet.
The corporation will receive subsidy from the central government using which the necessary arrangements will be made. These hostels will also be able to accommodate children aging eight and below. Other add-on facilities like crèche for children are also proposed in the scheme.
In addition, women belonging to poor income families can also have a space to stay here when their husband or guardian go out of town, or similar reasons. Single rooms will be of approximate size of 100 sq.ft.
The primitive goal of these hostels is to provide accommodation for working women and those who undergo necessary training for their work. Each of these hostels will have a capacity to accommodate about 5000 women. Facilities that these hostels will include are:
· Bathroom
· Toilet
· Kitchen
· Cupboard
