Koyambedu wholesale market: Drumstick price slashed

Since there is more adequate supply in Koyambedu vegetable wholesale market, the prices of few vegetables and drumsticks have come down. Vegetables are brought from other states and places in trucks to Koyambedu market.
After Pongal prices, the prices of potatoes, tomatoes, carrot and beans have come down by 10% to 25% but the rate of drumsticks has been going up. The drumstick was sold between Rs 150 to Rs 170 a kilo. Now drumsticks are being sold at Rs 80 per kilo.
