74% people in Tamil Nadu join Direct subsidy payment scheme for LPG cooking gas!

So far, 1.10 Crore people from Tamil Nadu (constituting 74%) have joined the direct subsidy payment scheme for LPG cooking gas.
Oil Corporations are working feverishly to complete 100% registration before March.
There are 1,50,62,122 LPG cooking gas consumers in Tamil Nadu.
1.4 crore persons have applied for the direct subsidy payment scheme so far in Tamil Nadu.
75 lakhs persons have registered through Aadhar cards. 66 Lakhs persons have registered through bank savings accounts.
After verification of documents, they would be included in the direct subsidy payment scheme.
So far, 1.10 Crore persons in Tamil Nadu have registered and are getting direct subsidy payments to their banks.
Many applications have been rejected due to improper filling of the application forms. With only 41 days for the first phase to be completed, the oil corporations are relieved to note that 73.90% have joined this scheme.
Oil corporation officials expressed confidence that the balance 26% will register before the deadline.
