Vehicle Tax collected at East Coast Road to continue for one more year!

East Coast Road links Chennai & Puducherry.
A vehicle tax is being collected from vehicles passing this road in order for better road maintenance and its improvement.
The term-period for this tax is scheduled to expire on 31st January.
However, it is planned to legislate an amendment and to extend this up to 31st January, 2016.
Some vehicles are exempted from paying this tax while plying on this route. This concession will also continue to be valid till 31st January, 2016.
