Commotion in Shenoy Nagar, Chennai, as a house sinks in!

Chennai Metro Rail project activities are under progress in Shenoy Nagar. A house in this locality suddenly sank by 2.5’. This has caused some commotion in the area.
Chennai Metro Rail project is under progress in Shenoy Nagar, 8th Cross Street.
One of the single-stroreyed houses in this street sank by 2.5’ into the ground yesterday night. Cracks have also developed in the building.
The occupants vacated the place immediately. The house owner informed the Metro Rail Project authorities and the police about this development.
Metro Rail Project Authorities reached the place and started conducting inspections.
Traffic has been stopped in the street following this and the place has been sealed. Police are deployed for security.
