New Metro Rail Projects planned to start in August!

Metro Rail Project officials have informed that there are good prospects of commencing the new metro rail projects planned in 3 sectors – Madhavaram-Velachery, Madhavaram-East Coast Road, and Koyambedu-Mylapore Luz.
Survey and research on these 3 metro sectors are in progress now. This is expected to be completed by March this year.
The project report will be sent to the state government and central government for approval.
It is gathered that these projects will meet with approval.
Hence, the projects may be set to start by August this year.
Test run between Koyambedu & Egmore section is scheduled during June.
The elevated corridor and the underground track covering Egmore & Airport is expected to be in full operation by next December.
