Vegetable prices go up in retail shops
Prices of vegetables sold in retail outlets in Nungambakkam, T Nagar and Ambattur have gone up. Apart from Koyambedu vegetables are brought in trucks from Andhra and Karnataka. When compared to last week, the prices of vegetables have gone up. There were no remarkable changes in the prices of onions, tomatoes and beans but the rates of potatoes, broad beans and egg plants were increased between Rs 5 to Rs 12.
