Low pressure in Bay of Bengal

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday a low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal on December 28.If the low pressure forms, rain or thundershowers may occur at many places over coastal Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and coastal Odisha.
Numerical weather charts` predict a low pressure over the Bay of Bengal on December 28 or 29. It may turn into a depression if the weather conditions are favourable. A trough of low pressure at mean sea level over south Andaman Sea and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal persisted on Thursday. The trough may also help the low pressure system to intensify rapidly.
