There were intermittent rains in the coastal areas and the nearby districts of Tamil Nadu near Kanyakumari due to the depression formed in the Ocean.
The depression formed in the Indian Ocean near Kanyakumari has now drifted to a new location in the coastal regions of Sri Lanka.
There may be rains at a few places in Tamil Nadu in the next 24 hours. It may rain in Chennai city ins a few areas.
A rainfall of 1cm has been recorded in Pamban & Paramakudi, and a rainfall of 6 cm in the district of Ramanathapuram in the last 24 hours till 8.00 AM.
