Rain with Thunder likely in Tamil Nadu

As per the announcement from Chennai Meteorological Centre, there is possibility of receiving heavy rainfall with thunder in few places of Tamil Nadu.
Speaking to one of the officers at the Chennai Meteorological Centre, he said since there is heavy moisture in the winds together with high humidity, there are chances for heavy rainfall with thunder in some places of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Chennai will experience cloudy sky with light showers in the suburban areas.
The highest rainfall registered in the last 24 hours is 9cms in Thirukoviloor of Villupuram district. Kelampakkam in Poondi registered 7cms, Thiruvelankadu 6cms and Polur, Sankarapuram, Papanasam, Vandavasi, Seyyur and Manimutharu 5cms of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
