Tamil Nadu State government transfers many senior IAS officers

The State government has transferred many senior IAS officers including PWD Secretary M Saikumar who will be taking over as the TNEB Chairman. Rural Development and Pancnayat Raj Secretary N S Palaniappan has been appointed as the new PWD Secretary.
Revenue Department Secretary Gagandeep Singh Bedi will take over as the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Secretary. R Venkatesan, hitherto Commissioner of Town and Country Planning, has been appointed as the new Revenue Secretary.
Former Pudukottai District Collector C Manoharan has been appointed as Director of Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business. Niranjan Mardi, Commissioner of Economics and Statistics has been appointed as the Vice-Chairman and CEO of Tamil Nadu Maritime Board.
Mohammed Nasimuddin, Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development has been appointed as the Secretary for Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection Department. He replaces M P Nirmala, who wil be taking over as the Chairperson and Managing Director of Tamil Nadu Small Industries Corporation (TANSI).
Dharmendra Pratap Yadav, Commissioner, Government Data Centre has been transferred and posted as Housing and Urban Development Department Secretary. He replaces Mohan Pyare, who will assume charge as the Secretary, Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department.
