Targeting all lower income group people to open a bank account, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a new scheme called Jan Dhan Yojna. Following the introduction of this scheme, people in more numbers show immense interest in opening the bank account.
It is noteworthy that over 1.5 crore individuals opened a new bank account right on the first day of launch of the scheme. Those who open this account will be given a RuPay debit card.
