Meteorological Centre has announced that there would be heavy rains today (Sunday, 30th November) in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry.
A depression has formed in the area located in Mannar Bay, Sri Lanka in the North-east Monsoon season.
This has intensified leading to the prospects of heavy rain in Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry especially in north coastal area of Tamil Nadu.
The weather will be cloudy today in Chennai.
Strong winds would be blowing at he rate of 45 to 55 km per hour in the coastal areas of Tamil Nadu & Pondicherry. Fishermen have been warned to take caution.
